Find the best way to learn, based on how you dance right now. Three guided 16-week journeys to take the guesswork out of where to start.
This path is for dancers who usually dance one role and want to understand, practice, and experience the other one.
A guide, not a rule — adapt it to your rhythm.
This path is for dancers who already use both roles and want structure, clarity, and long-term growth. Not more information. Better understanding.
A guide, not a rule — adapt it to your rhythm.
This path is for dancers who train alone and want to build movement, technique, and body awareness in a clear and structured way.
A guide, not a rule — adapt it to your rhythm.
Pick the goal that sounds like you. We’ll tell you exactly which classes to take and in what order.
Start by completing the full Spinning course. Then, if you get tired of technique, do the intermediate bachata combo — but if you’re not tired, go straight to Class 9 of our Bachata Beginner’s Course.
Maintain your posture and don’t forget to spot properly!
Start with one of these arm-focused classes/courses, and only then go enjoy all the styling classes we have for you.
Go through the Rules of Styling so you understand what you can and can’t do. Then take the commercial class below, and finish with one of the bachata styling choreos — Filipa’s is a great start.
Start by doing our symmetry course, then learn our puzzle technique (taught in the salsa class, but works in any social dance). For quick new combos for the party this week, grab any of our festival combo classes.
Start by doing our full beginner’s course as a leader AND as a follower, and go through the Bachata Vocabulary Checklist before doing any combo class. Our classes are also divided per levels, so you don’t have to be afraid of choosing one that’s not personalised for you.
There are different ways to improve your styling. Take the Technique Route with our styling course, or if you prefer choreography-style classes, choose from many we have (Jessica’s is a great example). Finally, if your goal is to do this in partnerwork, take “How to transform a styling class into partnerwork.”
Take our full musicality class — in English or Spanish. After, check out how it changes when we add RoleRotation to the mix.
Try the following classes and make sure you understand the principles of how your body works for dancing. Start with anatomy, then learn body rolls technique, and don’t forget to stretch and warm up to prevent injuries.
Start by doing our RoleRotation Technique class, then try one of the many combos we have. Try it in other dance styles too — like salsa and kizomba.
Put your ego aside and go again over the beginner’s course and the vocabulary checklist in your new role. You’ll learn much faster now because you already understand one role. After running through it, try all the combos we have until you feel confident enough to advance to RoleRotation classes.
Want the full guided 16-week version of this? Check the Learn the Other Role path ↑ above.
The more dance styles you control, the more your body awareness and dance improves. Try these other dance styles and find ways to implement them in your social dances.
