Can you start learning kizomba online with no previous kizomba experience? The Academy’s beginner course is designed to welcome that starting point. Its introduction gives you a place to begin before moving through the foundational lessons with Felipe y Tiago.
Who is the beginner kizomba course for?
The supplied course description explicitly welcomes people who are completely new to kizomba. Begin with a manageable learning task and give the foundations time to become familiar. Use the introduction to orient yourself before working through the movement lessons.
What comes after the introduction?
The class list includes the three basics, front-and-back basics and the escalera or L step. It also names lessons such as reloj and estrella, followed by further movement and technique classes. Use the course order as a practical way to choose a starting point instead of selecting several unfamiliar tasks at once.
How can you approach a recorded beginner lesson?
Watch a short section, identify the starting position and try to recall the demonstrated order at a manageable pace. Pause and replay the explanation when a detail is unclear. Give one lesson section a clear practice goal before adding another movement.
A brief note can help you return to the same task later. Write down the transition or basic action you want to revisit, so your next session begins with something specific to explore.
Learning leading and following
You can give each role focused practice time while building your foundations. With a practice partner, agree on roles and the exercise before starting. Revisit a familiar section from another perspective when both people want to, and keep any within-dance role switch as a separate shared task.
