Where can you begin practising a giving role change in bachata? Choose a manageable combination and give the transition its own attention. In Bachata RoleRotation Combo 13, Felipe and Almudena introduce a beginner combination with a change of roles in the middle of the sequence.

What is the focus of Combo 13?

The class includes beginner movement and a giving role change within the combination. Follow the recording to study the sequence and the explanation for that transition. Keep the practical task connected to leading and following in a shared social dance.

Learn the combination in agreed roles

Choose a short section with a clear entry and return. Agree on roles with your partner and repeat the same section at a manageable pace. Revisit the explanation whenever a preparation or next action remains unclear.

Give each role separate practice time. When you exchange roles between attempts, restart the same familiar section and notice what needs attention from the newer perspective.

Practise giving the leading task

Agree that the role change is part of your shared exercise. Study the action before the transition and the action that follows it, using the demonstration as your reference. Ask your partner about a concrete moment in the switch rather than changing several parts of the task at once.

Use the combination in socials

Practise beginning from familiar material and returning to a comfortable basic. Keep the timing and shared information clear for both people. A small, understandable section gives you a practical starting point for exploring role rotation in a social dance.
