How can you connect a check-turn, a cambré and arm styling within the same social-dance combination? Give each transition a small, repeatable practice task. In Bachata RoleRotation Combo 8, Felipe y Tiago bring those elements into another Academy role-switching class.
What does Combo 8 include?
The class includes contragiro, cambré and arm styling among the class material. Use the recording to study the specific sequence and the explanations for its movement. Keep your practice focus narrow enough that you can describe which connection needs attention.
Learn a short section before joining the full sequence
Choose a passage with a clear beginning and end. Mark the order at a manageable pace, then return to the explanation for the movement detail you want to clarify. Repeat the same transition before adding another part of the combination.
When a turn or styling action distracts you from the next step, give its exit a separate repetition. A familiar entry and return can make the task easier to compare between attempts.
Keep the combination leadable and followable
Agree on roles and the section you are practising with your partner. Focus on making each transition understandable through the shared timing and information exchanged. Ask about one concrete moment, then revisit the class explanation when the task needs clarification.
Explore the role change
Study a familiar section from leading and following in separate attempts. When both people want to practise the within-dance transition, agree on that task and give the approach and exit their own attention. Keep the pace appropriate to the newer skill for each person.
